International Qualitative Study

The end client was an international supplier of irrigation products for the agriculture sector.  The study involved the recruitment and interviewing of around 250 farmers and dealers across the UK, South Africa, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey using a 30 minute semi-structured qualitative questionnaire.  The output to the client consisted solely of the audio recordings of all the interviews.  Challenges encountered and overcome included:

  • Familiarising interviewers with irrigation equipment and issues
  • Achieving a high response rate from very limited sample
